Truth bomb
It took me years to love my voice
I've been fully immersed in singing my whole life, from performing live to recording in studios and teaching others what I've learned.
But let me tell you, it hasn't always been smooth sailing. I've faced my own vocal struggles, particularly with vocal fatigue. Singing in loud environments, show after show, often left me with hardly a voice left. It wasn't until I began to approach singing holistically, addressing the whole person, that I was able to truly find my voice again.
Let's talk highlights

01 - Inspiration
Music has been my passion since childhood. Inspired by my mom, a pro in the industry who performed with artists such as The Carpenters and Perry Como. Voice lessons started at 11, with musical influences like Mariah and Whitney. My millennial heart also embraced Y2K Pop and R&B singers such as Brandy. Thanks Mom for the inspiration!
02 - Awards
At age 14, I competed in the World Championships of Performing Arts winning the “Best Overall Vocal Performance” award, 1st place in “R&B”, and 2nd place in “Contemporary”. I've also been fortunate to win local “Idol” competitions, perform at Hilary Duff's Red Carpet Premiere of “Raise Your Voice” and was invited as Xtina's guest to a taping of “The Voice” after winning a Christina Aguilera vocal competition.
03 - Experience
Singing professionally since 2002, I’ve performed as a solo artist, with bands, and backing other artists in the US and abroad: sporting events (Warriors and Giants), corporate events (Google, DreamForce, etc) and have shared the stage with and opened for such artists as Natalie Cole, Tower of Power, and SmashMouth.
04 - Education
My journey into vocal pedagogy has been just as exciting, beginning with student teacher training at the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA) and John Henny’s CVTA program. As a member of IVTOM, I've been mentored by Dean Kaelin and continue my development with Chris Johnson as my mentor in his EVOLVE teacher training program.

"I’ve never been more confident with my voice, and recently I started picking up paid gigs as a vocalist and have found myself posting more nonchalantly on Youtube and social media."

The music industry can be brutal, especially when it comes to body image.
I've been through a lot in that regard, and it's become a mission of mine to accept all bodies and voices. I firmly believe that every singer deserves to feel confident and empowered, regardless of their shape or size.
